• Images you process: We collect nothing. All image processing happens entirely in your browser using WebAssembly. Your files never leave your device.
• Usage data: We may use privacy-respecting analytics (such as aggregate page view counts) that do not track individuals and do not use cookies.
• Cookies: We use a single localStorage entry to remember your cookie consent preference. No third-party tracking cookies are set without your explicit consent.
• Contact enquiries: If you contact us by email, we store your email address and message content solely to respond to your enquiry.

3. How we use data

We use the limited data we collect to:

• Operate and improve the Devdwell Tools website
• Respond to support or contact enquiries
• Understand aggregate usage patterns to guide product development

4. Your images are private

The image optimisation tool runs entirely client-side. When you upload an image, it is loaded into your browser's memory. All processing — including resizing, cropping, rotation, and AVIF encoding — is performed using WebAssembly running locally on your device. The processed image is saved directly to your device. At no point does any image data travel over a network.

5. Cookies and local storage

We use browser localStorage (not cookies) to store a single value — your response to the cookie consent banner. This value is:

• Stored only on your device
• Never transmitted to us or any third party
• Cleared when you clear your browser data

6. Third-party services

The tool loads certain open-source libraries (such as the AVIF encoder and ZIP library) from third-party CDNs (esm.sh, jsDelivr). These CDNs may log your IP address as part of standard CDN access logs, subject to their own privacy policies. We do not control this data and do not receive it.

7. Data retention

We do not retain any image data, as none is ever collected. Email enquiries are retained for up to 12 months after resolution.

Under applicable privacy law (including GDPR where relevant), you have the right to:

• Request access to any personal data we hold about you

• Object to processing or request restriction of processing
